CWS Named Moss Point’s Partner of the Year

During the July 16th ‘State of the City’ address, CWS’s Moss Point, MS team received the “Partner of the Year” award.  The award, presented by Moss Point Mayor Mario King, celebrated the accomplishments that worked toward the Mayor’s vision to rejuvenate Moss Point.  He stated that the CWS team is always quick to respond to the needs of the City and its citizens.  Roy Hutchinson, CWS Project Manager for Moss Point, accepted the award on behalf of the team.  CWS President Rick Ailiff and Regional Manager Brent Stauffer were also in attendance for the event.  According to Stauffer, “Roy and all of his team work very hard for the City and the Moss Point residents.  They take great pride in their work. We are honored that Mayor King recognized our team with this award and we appreciate all of the support that Mayor King and the City’s Aldermen continue to provide to our company.”

Since February 2016, CWS has partnered with the City to provide O&M services for the City’s Public Works infrastructure of 28 square miles, including water distribution, sewer collections, 60 lift stations, 811 locates for utilities, natural gas system, storm water maintenance, street/sign maintenance, right of way maintenance, grounds maintenance and building maintenance of the city-owned structures, as well as all work orders, approved city capital projects, and customer complaints.  In April 2018, the City expanded the scope of services of the CWS contract to include meter reading of 7,000 water meters and 2,100 natural gas meters, as well as customer service and billing.

Congratulations to all of our team members in Moss Point!   Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

They have taken our wastewater treatment plant from chronic monthly violations to violation free for the past several months! It truly feels like a partnership instead of just another contracted service.
